Join us for Wellbeing Day this year at St Aidan’s School, Corinda, Brisbane. We are so looking forward to seeing you there! This year we have 2 keynote speakers, 24 workshops, live music, massage, and real coffee!

Recovery day 2012

Date: Saturday September 15th  

Closing Date for Registrations: Friday September 7th

Venue: St Aidan’s Anglican Girls School, Corinda, Brisbane

Time: This is a full day event but you’re welcome to come for all or part of the day.

A day of inspiration and learning, meeting up with friends old and new, and enjoying good food together! An enthusiastic group is working on the details of the 2012 Recovery Day. Please note the date – Saturday September 15th. The event will again be held at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls School, adjacent to Corinda Railway Station.

Helen Glover will again be one of the keynote speakers. Helen is passionate about the concept of personal resilience and recovery in mental illness. Helen uses her background in social work and education as well as her lived experience of her own recovery form mental illness to expand and challenge the concepts of recovery-oriented practice.

Ailsa Rayner will also join us as a keynote speaker. Ailsa works in the human services sector and she brings her lived experience as a mental health consumer to the Recovery Day.

There will be a variety of workshops to choose from, morning and afternoon. Topics include “Emotional CPR”, “The Usefulness of Mindfulness”, “The Affects of Alcohol and Drugs on Mental Health”, “Nourishment and Massage”, “Art and Mental Health”, “Vulcana Women’s Circus Group” and “Working for Recovery in an Era of Corporatisation”.

$10 registration fee for those in need of mental health support, their carers and supporters.
